Tarrywile Park & Mansion: Hiking, Tours and Scenic Views

Spend the day soaking up the innate beauty of Tarrywile Park & Mansion, one of Connecticut's greatest treasures. Once an active dairy farm and fruit orchard, Tarrywile spans 722 acres filled with 21 miles of hiking trails, sprawling ponds, and a 23-room Victorian mansion all on its property.  A fine example of Shingle-style architecture, the mansion was built in 1897 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hike, bike, tour the mansion, picnic, fish, or go apple picking in the orchard, which comes to life each fall. Plan a special event or wedding at Tarrywile and enjoy the stunning lush landscaping as your backdrop.
