One of the state's premier colleges, WCSU offers top undergraduate and graduate programs based on a strong arts and sciences foundation. A highly-regarded public institution, WCSU is dedicated to providing a superior education that fosters student growth as scholars, individuals, professionals, and leaders in a global society. Western has two campuses in Danbury: a 34-acre main campus in downtown Danbury called Midtown, and a 364-acre campus, about three miles from the main campus, known as Westside. Located just minutes away, Crowne Plaza Danbury is an ideal home base for those in town for graduations, student tours, and campus visits. We welcome visitors to WCSU and athletic teams competing with our hometown Colonials.

Visitors are welcome to park at the Midtown campus in the front lot at University Hall on White Street and the Old Main Visitor Parking Lot on Fifth Avenue. If you plan to stay longer than an hour, you must obtain a temporary permit from the Police Department on Roberts Avenue. Parking for the general public lot on the Westside campus is available along University Boulevard and in the Sand Road Parking lot.
A Yes. At 398 acres, the Western Connecticut State University campus can be challenging to navigate, especially for visitors who are unfamiliar with the surroundings.
